A Gospel Holiday with Joe Carter and Friends

If you missed the Minnesota Public Radio Morning Show on Xmas 2002, you can still hear RealPlayer recordings of the Fitzgerald Theatre concert! I sang Motherless Child solo in English, Spanish & Korean with Thom West on piano (a very different version than the funky/folky one with Soli Hughes on the Global Jazz Live CD and on the documentary Illegal to Be Homeless).

"Ambassador Extraordinaire" of Good Will, Joe Carter—who has captivated Twin Cities audiences in performances of Showboatand The Black Nativity—lends his bass-baritone voice to the songs of the season. Other guests include: The Voice of Deliverance Choir, St. Stephen the Martyr Church Choir in Edina, Revelation Choir, gospel singer Libby Turner from Sounds of Blackness and the talented Thom West on piano and organ.
